Network Formation and Financial Inclusion in P2P Lending: A Computational Model

چکیده
What characteristics of fintech lending platforms improve access to funding and increase financial inclusion? We build a computational model platform that is used study the endogenous loan network formation process on platform. Given multidimensional nature inclusion, we address what factors influence number loans, level investment/debt, how those relate distribution investment/debt across agents. find scale SME reach are essential in determining loans However, willingness accept risks main driver behind value loans. also increased scale, high-risk thresholds, low-interest rates lead more evenly distributed investments. Moreover, large help diversity power among peers. conclude digital helping foster investment achieve egalitarian allocation resources. These results can guide new theory development about impact P2P inequality as well promote inclusion.

A process model on P2P lending
Background: Online peer-to-peer lending (P2P lending) is booming as the popularity of e-finance. To develop a conceptual model for the P2P lending process is great valuable for managers to tack the issues of marketing, management and operation. Methods: In this paper, we focus on the P2P lending process model and provide a comparative analysis comparing with traditional bank loan process. Resul...
متن کاملA decision support model for investment on P2P lending platform
Peer-to-peer (P2P) lending, as a novel economic lending model, has triggered new challenges on making effective investment decisions. In a P2P lending platform, one lender can invest N loans and a loan may be accepted by M investors, thus forming a bipartite graph. Basing on the bipartite graph model, we built an iteration computation model to evaluate the unknown loans. To validate the propose...
متن کاملDeterminants of Default in P2P Lending
This paper studies P2P lending and the factors explaining loan default. This is an important issue because in P2P lending individual investors bear the credit risk, instead of financial institutions, which are experts in dealing with this risk. P2P lenders suffer a severe problem of information asymmetry, because they are at a disadvantage facing the borrower. For this reason, P2P lending sites...
متن کاملInformation Asymmetry Reduction in Online P2P Lending
Online peer-to-peer (P2P) microloan lending practice is becoming prevalent worldwide. However, information asymmetry between lenders and borrowers in this market may create adverse selection and moral hazard problems that could eventually lead to a high risk of loan default. In the proposed study, we will develop a model to evaluate how imitation and language analysis can reduce information asy...

Peer-to-peer applications (P2P) are no longer limited to home users, and start being accepted in academic and corporate environments. While file sharing and instant messaging applications are the most traditional examples, they are no longer the only ones benefiting from the potential advantages of P2P networks. For example, network file storage, data transmission, distributed computing, and co...
